Brett Thompson Racing has a wonderful team of dedicated staff who all play an important role. We would like to introduce them to you.

Sara Connell
Stable Hand
Sarah has been with us as a Stablehand / Strapper for just over a year now, having started with us at Thompson Racing in February 2018. It is very clear to us and anyone else who has seen Sarah with the horses that she has a passion for them. As well as working here at Thompson Racing 3 days a week, Sarah also studies vet nursing in her own time.
Tenielle Schmidt
Admin and Accounts Manager
Tenielle started off with us here at Thompson Racing as a Stable Hand / Strapper just over 2 years ago. Not only does Tenielle like to get her hands dirty in the stable, she is also a great help in the office having taken over Admin and Accounts Manager in early 2018. Tenielle is a qualified hairdresser who runs her own hairdressing business when she is not in the office here at Thompson Racing. She is a very promising young lady and a big asset to our team.
Jake Deville
Stablehand
Jake, best known around the stable as 'Stars' came to us with limited experience back in 2016. Since joining the Thompson Stable team as a stablehand / strapper Stars has developed and flourished into a valuable team member. Stars has his strappers licence and attend's quite a few race meetings in the area.
Brett Thompson
Trainer
Brett is the sole trainer in this family run business, he is very much a hands on trainer and regularly rides work so that he can get a guage on where his horses are at. Brett's son's are partners in the business.
Ben Thompson
Foreman / Breaker / Track Rider
Ben is Brett's eldest son, he's an accomplished horseman who holds down the positions of foreman, breaker and trackwork rider in this successful training operation.
Kurt Thompson
Foreman / Breaker
Kurt is Brett's second eldest son and is a foreman and a breaker. Kurt is hard working and has good knowledge of how to handle the horses and get the best from them.
Jay Thompson
Foreman Breaker Track Rider
Jay is the youngest of the Thompson boys, he rides trackwork each day and attends most of the racedays as foreman and is hands on with the breaking in.
Billy Greenaway
Foreman / Track Rider / Stablehand
Billy has a lifetime of experience with horses and has worked with our team from 2013, he helps a great deal with the breaking in. He is a good hard worker and is williing to put in the extra hours when required.
Elizabeth Theobold
Stablehand - Rider
Lizzy is a stablehand, trackrider and looks after all of the horses feeding. She has been at the stable since late 2014 and is a great asset, she is hands on and has a genuine love of horses and the racing industry. Nothing is too much trouble for Lizzy, she is always prepared to do that little bit extra. Lizzy is a great trackwork rider with soft hands.
John Curry (Ripper)
Strapper
Ripper is a strapper and truckdriver, who is happy to be involved in any way he can. He's been with the stable since 2013 when we moved to Gulgong. He loves the races and being at the track and is here any chance he gets, he gets on well with all the staff and is always willing to do whatever is needed.
